Obviously, it's not Janet's BEST selling or critically acclaimed work (although it seems to "growing on" a lot of people), but it's not her worst either, and is definitely better than some of the c**p that's getting airplay right now. I appreciate your "high standards" for Janet, but frankly, Janet tried to be a little more creative musically with most of the tracks on Damita Jo in spite of the interludes, sex-talk, and love themes.
