2 discs are mostly 60'2 & 70's R&B: lots of Isley Bros, Aretha, Marvin Gaye...

The third disc is 80's: Rick James, Cameo, etc...

So I'm driving home last night & "Yearning For Your Love" comes on eek I ain't got no Gap Band!! mad So now I'm thinking about a fourth disc but I don't wanna forget anything lol Here's my track lists of what I have so far, ANY R&B suggestions are welcome - I need fairly clean, feel good R&B songs biggrin

EWF - Africano, Runnin'
Young-Holt Unlimited - Wade In The Water
Kool & The Gang - Love The Life You Live, Let The Music Take Your Mind (safe vocals)
Grover Washington - Mr. Magic
Ronnie Laws - Always There
MFSB - T.S.O.P.

I was being facetious. Lord knows you don't want to go out and get that '80s 30something precursor (talking tv show, not age). I can't think of any other music right now.

Okay, my WHACK burning program won't let me just copy the song titles & such, & I'm too friggin lazy to retype 5 discs worth of stuff lol

Basically, it's everything on my "Music for Family Gatherings" thread w/ some added tracks from:

The Gap Band (Outstanding, Yearning for Your Love)
Stevie Wonder (As, If You Really Love Me, Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing, Signed Sealed Delivered)
Player (Baby Come Back)
Chaka & Rufus (Sweet Thing, Tell Me Something Good, I'm Every Woman)
Commodores (Zoom, Just To Be Close To You, Easy)
Rose Royce (I Wanna Get Next To You, Ooh Boy, I'm Goin' Down)
Bros. Johnson (Strawberry Letter 23)
Carl Carleton lol (She's a Bad Mama Jama)
Gladys Knight & the Pips (If I Were Your Woman)
O Jays (For the Love of Money)
Isaac Hayes (Do Your Thang)
Ohio Players (Love Rollercoaster)
Joe Tex (I Gotcha)
Staples Singers (I'll Take You There, Respect Yourself)
Rick James (Mary Jane, Bustin Out)
Luther Vandross (The Night I Fell In Love, Never Too Much)
SWV (Anything)
MJ/J5 (Don't Stop 'Till You Get Enough, Corner of the Sky)
Prince (Call My Name)
Heather Headley (He Is)
& some tracks from the soundtrack of The Wiz, which my family LOVES lol

'Twas a success, we had enough for hours biggrin

What Cinnie Cee No "Electric Slide" by Marcia Griffiths???
I haven't been to one wedding where the DJ didn't throw that little island ditty on.....just makes granny and the rest of the old folks feel good.
I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back.
I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there.
I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish.
And I am
