I was lookin in a book on Bjork that was explining every song..I looked 4 Big TIme Sensualtiy (cuz tha't the only 1 I really know)..but then I started flippin thru the pages and I saw the phtos of this fat weird crazy guy holding a gun and making a funny face.

It said that he was an obsessed fan whom shot himself because of her on tape (or something like that).

Is this tape avaliable anywhere? And what was the story on that one? That looked really scary.

i'm sure the tape isn't available, except for maybe on the black market, but who would want such a thing anyway? not saying you're sick paisley4, but seriously, it seems like a sick thing to want to watch.

apparently the fan was so obsessed with her that he killed himself. i'm not sure of the details, but i don't think bjork even saw the tape itself because it was such a sick thing to do. but she was understandably shocked and devastated.

Obsessed fan thought he and Bjork were made for each other. Saw her with another guy - a black guy at that - and flipped out. Sent her a acidic bomb meant to disfigure her face. and made a tape of him rambling to camera with her music in the background, then blowing his head off. He shot himself during "I Remember You", the b-side to Venus as a Boy. Such nastiness.

Bomb was thankfully intercepted by Scotland Yard before it could reach Bjork. This tape is floating around, but of course without the bit where he shoots himself. Although apparently there was no visible blood on camera anyway, he just groaned and fell out of the shot.

The "fan" was called Ricardo López, aged 21. He sent a letter bomb to Bjork's
London home before he filmed himself comitting suicide on tape.

I can't remember how it came about, wether they found the tape first or
something, but police were able to get the bomb before Bjork got to open
the letter or something like that (someone correct me on this please)

The motive for this was, according to some sources, his inability to accept
that Bjork had a relationship with Goldie at the time and not with him.

The incident with the letter bomb prompted Bjork to leave London and go to
Spain where she recorded Homogenic afterwards after which she went back to
Island.

4 some1 who thought I was kinda weird for wanting to see it...I am and have been very interested in true crime since I was little...I wanted 2 be a detective or coroner at a time.

Especially if it had something 2 do with a star, I would have really liked 2 c it even if the shooting part was cut out.

If you ask me though the reporter deserved it -- Bjork was on a world tour with a five year old kid, and that particular reporter had been harrassing her for three days... plus when she jumped in her face with a cheery "Welcome to Bangkok!" Bjork was clearly tired and stressed out. It was really the mother lion coming out to protect her cub.
