It's so hard for me to tell anyone else what they'd like of the Cure. Gangsta's right, it's alllll good. That said, the box set is the best I've ever owned and my fave albums tend to be Head on the Door, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me and Disintegration followed by Wish.

You can't go wrong with these. They're all 5 star albums.

And I don't know if I'd get the b-sides box set right off. I know everyone's enthused and excited about this, but keep in mind that they've been fans probably their whole life. They've been waiting for something like this. For a newcomer it might be a bit confusing and overwhelming. I would try tackling their albums one at a time as they're released as remasters. And you don't have long to wait. Their first album comes out next month. Following their evolution will be majorly rewarding.

I am not needed here. This man has gotten the most proffesional Cure help he's ever gonna get. Unless Thunderbird is a she. If he is a she, my apologies.

He. biggrin

Thanks a ton for the replies on this everyone, I had no idea remasters were on their way. I really hoped they were. Disintegration is OK played through headphones until then. Thanks again!!! guitar

There's been some great advice on here about the cure's older work. I like the new album too and can only agree with everyone one here in that my faves are disintegration, bloodflowers, pornography and kiss me kiss me kiss me. The standing on the beach collection is good too but I woudn'tknow if that's available in the US ... sure it is tho
