i don't think madonna's nor janet's careers are in trouble. i think they are two of the biggest female celebrities in the business and the fact that they both had great albums that did very poorly (in contrast to their other projects) on the charts says more about the state of the industry and not necessarily the state of their careers.
let's not turn this into another janet v. madonna thread...please...

i know this was probably directed at singers but please oh please lets hope Ashley Judd is never allowed to star in a movie..her last two films flopped.....
my boyfriend finally forced me to watch one of her films...it was horrible....she played a top sf lawyer who's husband was jailed for war crimes... UGHH!!!! why the hell does morgan freeman keep staring with her? Space for sale...

Thankfully, Prince doesn't belong on this list. Now if you asked this question a year ago, then that would be a different story. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Maybe if you seen how Madonna's tour went over you would understand. And AL sold 5 million worldwide, to my knowlege more than Damita Jo Madonna just completed the year's biggest money-making tour ($124 million) which is hardly an example of a career taking a nosedive.

Heh, the lines between team janet and team madonna are really showing. so much with the theory of madonna fans targeting janet, seems to be the other way around

because, sad as it may be, he is more infamous now than famous. he should be known for his music but he only gets press when something "strange" happens. he's still the king of pop to me, though! Well, yeah. Kinda. At least here in the UK there's still some focus on his music. His Number Ones album has done very well. And Off The Wall & Thriller have been in and out of the chart since the Bashir documentary was shown over eighteen months ago. Bad, History & Invincible have all made an appearance, too. So for an artist who has supposedly had his day, he's doing fairly well.
