I love them both but I will choose Tori. Bjork is a little 2 techie, I just don't believe Bjork can do the things Tori can do on the piano. Tori is a pure musician something this current music industry is terribly lacking!

P.S. Bjork has better remixes
Self preservation is a full-time occupation.

bjork, i cant stand tori. i love bjork, her singing is so unique, music is great, and with her recent album she really tried something new with the whole using voices as instruments.

Tori. She's way less pretentious and a hell of a lot more interesting to me.

Also, Bjork has never shat all over a Nirvana song like Tori did.

Can I ask you what it is that we're discussing at this point?

We have another war here:

Europeans will choose Bjork (and Kate Bush woot! )...

...and Bush supporters will choose Tori.

By the way, I love Tori but if I have to choose Björk gets my vote

Bush supporters?

confused

(I support bush though.)

LMAO! lol Kate is by far the least boring artist I've ever had the honour of hearing. Have you heard The Dreaming? If that's boring music then I dread to think what music you consider bold, inventive and challenging. wink

highfive The Dreaming is one of my fav. cd's of all time. I agree.....very ahead of it's time. One of the most original cds I own to be honest.

It's a proper gem of an album, ain't it just! wink

There are really some outstanding and thoughtful answers here.
It has to be Bjork for me. First is the fact that TRON selected her as the perfect reconnector for opening musical doors that I had closed for so long. Then, is how she pushes all of the creative boundaries in such fearless way. She listens to the internal beats that she acknowledges have been passed through the generations and follows them relentlessly no matter where the journey takes her. Her representation of the elements, Earth, Air, Water and Fire creates a spiritual connection for me that transcends anything I have felt with another artist.

I love Tori and think she is great for introspective self examination ~ for discovering and facing the demons within. Bjork offers the entire Universe and encourages us to grab our piece with both hands. I think of her so often being in the mountains all alone with only a laptop while she was creating Vespertine. I wonder what each of us could achieve if we isolated ourselves from the interference of technology, mundane jobs, daily routine and responsibility. We are so far removed from our core and Bjork brings me back to that center.. She always reminds me of the first line of a dissertation by Genisis P'Orridge ~ "Do you WANT to be one of the sleeping people?"
She is philosophically, lyrically and intellectually amazing ~ childlike and whimsical with an "old Soul". TRON and I met her and spoke with her for a few moments in Chicago and there was a sense of the magikal being in her space. She is one of the most selfactualized artists of our time.
