i think she fell off big time!

I remember she always sounded horrible when she sang live on TV during the "I'm A Little Bird" days (or whatever that song was called), though I thought that song was fairly catchy.

I have both of her albums but I have yet to listen the to the second one more than 2 times. I like the song "powerless" and "try" alot though.

An even better question is what happened to Fiona Apple..where is she???

I got Nelly's latest "Folklore". Music and lyrics are great and I love the album. I just think it didn't get promoted right. Maybe cuz she did get prenant, or maybe cuz it's not garbage enough to go mainstream...I dunno...but I like it.

I love Nelly Furtado. I was going to start an "Opinion Clipboard" thread on her. I have both of her LPs. The last video I've seen by her was "Powerless," but I love the "Força" single. The Armand Van Helden remix of that song is great. Had a lot of fun over the summer with it.

I hope she releases "Picture Perfect" as a single.

I desperately want to see her live.

I LOVE Nelly and have both her albums. But she had the unfortunate timing to have her album come out at around the same time Britney Spears was promoting the hell out of her cd by talking to anyone who would listen about her mastorbation techniques.

So yes, she did fall off big time but only becuase she didn't have that REALLY catchy first single that mimicked "I'm Like A Bird". Then again it is possible that she just won't be popular again and it wouldn't be the first time that a cool artist went slept on. I also get the impressin from articles that she barely cares. I think it was reported that she was so exasperated by the whole image-crazy industry that she was considering retiring after her first album!

SHe was the opening act at the Prince concert i went to. SHe's a great vocalist IMO and has great tunes. Im not a big fan though.

They have played several of her latest songs on Canadian radio. I'm not sure how much air play she gets outside of Canada though.

I really like her. She's really talented. Knowing how the industry is, I thought that would be an issue, that's just my guess why she wasn't promoted more here in the U.S. It's too bad that looks are more important than talent and creativity and MUSIC in the Music Industry.

I saw her new video to the current single "Explode" today on television. Her other recent videos like Forca were also played a lot here on TV in Europe. But I even saw Prince's video "Cinnamon Girl" twice on TV today, I never thought that would happen
