Ok here it is...i've only just recently have gotten into Led Zeppelin. I've never seen movies, or know any albums extensively. These are the only songs i've come to love:
Fool In The Rain, I Cant Quit You Babe, Immigrant Song, Whole Lotta Love, Been A Long Time, The Girl I Love, Stairway To Heaven, The Lemon Song and Bring It On Home My friend is into them like I am about Prince so she's making me CD's and stuff. Led Zeppelin is HOT!!! &

"Hey, Hey, What Can I Do": Wanna tell you about the girl I love My she looks so fine... "Rock and Roll": Been a long time since I rock and rolled Been a long time since I did that stroll... One thing about "Rock and Roll"...the drum intro was taken from Little Richard's "Keep A Knockin'." And yes, Zep is HAWWWT. This post not for the wimp contingent. Ok. Now that I've stopped salivating for the moment, I feel I can post a coherent response.
And that is..... But seriously, most people on this board know by now (if they ever read any of my other posts) that I am obsessed with Zeppelin. I got into them when I was about 11 or 12, and the rest is history. Oh, and Supernova, you're absolutely right about Bonzo. I was watching the DVD again last night and when it got to Moby Dick (The Royal Albert Hall part, 1970) and Bonzo, I really WATCHED the whole thing this time. (it's about a 17 min. drum solo) The MAN WAS MINDBLOWING! There are really no words to describe how amazing this man was. I actually cried when it was over, because he was so talented and it makes me sad every time I watch him. Sad that he's not around anymore. Ok, now I can start my usual picture posting frenzy.... Percy Jonesy Bonzo And well, damn....the hottest man on the planet..... Pagey "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

Just for that, the pics will keep coming! But can you even believe that I didn't start this thread?! In fact, I don't think I've ever started any of the Zeppelin related threads. So there. Yeah, I've heard it a couple times live. I thought it was ok. He sings it in falsetto though, which I just couldn't really get into. I've got to hear Robert's wailing on that one. Cool that he's giving them props though. Of course no one tops Zeppelin's version in my opinion, although Muddy Water's original is also very good. Just a different vibe that's all. I believe Dream theater has covered Achilles Last Stand, but i don't want to hear it actually. I'm afraid they raped it.

Yep, one of my favorite all time bands. The two John's make the band I think. John Paul Jones has always been underrated. Without him, not as good a band. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

When you listen to what he added it's clear they had to break up, they just couldn't have been as good without him. They knew what they were doing. And I don't even have the DVD yet. I plan to get it soon, like within the next couple of weeks at the latest. Thing is, it's so hot out here in SoCal that I don't even want to go to places that are necessities, much less for pleasure. From the morning til night it's...just... HOT. I HATE it when it's this hot. Ok, now I can start my usual picture posting frenzy....

True, although I think the combination of all four of them made for something completely amazing. I can't imagine the band without each of the members contributions. Page once said that when they were at their strongest, there was a telepathic quality when they played together. They just jelled so well with each other. This is why they had to call it quits after Bonham died, because he was irreplaceable. But I'm sure you already know that.
