I love all the songs on NSYNC's last album, the remake of "Sailing" on the first album, and "I Thought She Knew" from the second one. My favorite songs from the Backstreet Boys are "All I Have To Give" and "Lay Down Beside Me"(a solo number done by AJ).
I like "MotownPhilly", "Colors of Love", "4 Seasons of Loneliness", and "Song for Mama" from Boyz II Men. Ya know what I could never understand? Why everyone hates boybands like NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, but praise the Beatles. Weren't they a just as much a boyband as any of the current crop? Plus, why do they call them boybands, but always argue that they aren't a band, because they don't play their own instruments? Seeing as how the majority of people who didn't and don't like boybands are guys, I guess they were just hatin' on these groups, because there girlfriends would have been more than happy to dump them if one of her favorite boyband members asked her out. Hmmm....tough question.....
I'd have to say, Backstreet Boys' "Like a Child". Not a single, but I love it. It's got some spiffy guitar work in it. Has a vaguely power-ballad sound to it, without the cheeziness of 80's rock "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Did you just call the Beatles a... Boy Band?!? yep The Beatles is a boy band. so is nsync bsb but there's a difference one is extremely talented other is extremely untalented ok my faves: Jackson 5 - I'll Be There, Who's Loving You, I want you back and many more Jacksons - Blame It On The boogie, Can You Feel It, State Of Shock, Heartbreak Hotel and many more

Solo boybander stuff:
Jordan Knight - Give It To You I love Jordan Knight's album. I hated New Kids though, but Jordan's album is actually very good. I love his re-make of "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man." He made it a ballad and it sounds great. His ballads on the album are fabulous. SPREAD LOVE UNTIL THE SUN'S FINAL RISE--The Duality a.k.a. "WYNTER SKYE"

Did you just call the Beatles a... Boy Band?!? When the majority of your fanbase is screaming, female teenagers, and you're group is 3 or more men, I'd say you're a boyband. The Backstreet Boys learned how to play instruments on their second to last album and NSYNC actually wrote and co-wrote 10 or 11 of the 13 songs on their last album, so if the Beatles shouldn't be considered a boyband for those reasons, than neither should BSB and NSYNC. NSYNC did a great job paying honor to the Bee Gees at the 2003 Grammys. Both groups harmonize together very well, which isn't something that is all that easy actually. Nor, do I feel that the Beatles were extremely talented. Personally, I still don't see what the big deal was about them. I think their singing voices were terrible. Their songs were good, but I can't stand their singing voice, never could. I have to listen to the songs when they get sung by other artists. I'm waay more impressed with the Bee Gees and the Beach Boys than I am with the Beatles. But, hey, different strokes for different folks I guess, because I still don't see what the big deal was about Elvis or the Rollingstones. SPREAD LOVE UNTIL THE SUN'S FINAL RISE--The Duality a.k.a. Beatles were first songwriters and then singers.that's why beatles' covers beat the originals. Most of the boybands of today suck i think.with couple of exceptions. The Rasmus is getting my respect everyday. Hey LightOfArt I notice ur signature, I love that song- though it does remind me alot of "Speed demon" (which is a good thing infact)- love the middle 8 in that song!
yeah, imo it's one of the best songs he's ever written. I think it's going to be released in the forth coming MJ boxset called 'The Music' along with many other unreleased and rare to find songs.

Jorden knoghts "Give it to u"..... I love that song! Couldn't believe when i bought the single it was written by Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis! That's why it's so good then! Sort of like an update of Johny gills "Rub u the right way", with sexy, though not crude lyrics!
Loved the damcing in that video too..... [This message was edited Sun Jul 18 15:46:33 2004 by thesexofit]

I wasn't implying anything about the talents of the bands, and I enjoy the bands you listed (Plus Troop, New Edition for us older folks...). Maybe my views are narrow on this, but the term "Boy Band" to me is a group that performs with microphones, dance steps, and a backing band. It's not a derogitory term (though most guys use it as one), just a style description of the band. The Beatles were a rock & roll band. And while I admire the bsb and nsync in learning to play instruments and getting involved with their song writing, comparing thier skills in those areas to the Beatles.... The Beatles WERE song writing. What's the use of being young if you ain't gonna get old
