i am listening to Angélique Kidjo's album called AYÉ.

i bought it because my dancer teacher used to play a few tracks in her lessons. she likes african music. all the students always laugh when she starts playing it, but everyone really gets into the music after a while.

David Z produced five tracks on this album, they were recorded in Paisley Park Studios. Paul Peterson plays guitar on them and The Steeles sing backgound vocals on one song called AZAN NAN KPÉ.

are there any people here that like her work ?

I'm not really familiar with her music,but I know that Carlos Santana is a huge fan.He asked her to be his opening act for his last tour.He also covered one of her songs on his last album.

Her version of "Summertime" is what brought me to her music.Anyone who is a lover of music
will enjoy her.

She would be on our FAVESLIST back at the Virgin Megastore.

Whenever we played it, people came up to the til and ask us what the heck we awer eplaying and if they could buy it, like right now.

Love her music. I have the CD that has "Voodoo Child" on it. She has an amazing voice and her live performances are off the hook.
