What do u think of The Black Album and Sign O The Times being re-released? At the time the limited edition of The Black Album was released in 1994, I didn't pay attention to it. Now, I feel that the selfish people at Warner Bros. should re-release this album along with his masterwork, Sign O The Times. I brought SOTT in 1999 on CD, and I thought that the packaging wasn't that good, but far from being worst. I mean, the booklet only has the lyrics and credits. That's alittle tacky. The original LP has picture sleeves with a lyric booklet. All of the compact discs Warner have released from his Warner output, from 1978-1994 are pretty poor with the packaging but the sound with the exception with SOTT, sound digitally remastered, which is good. Well, what do you think about it? Is it a good thing or bad if Warners Bros. did this.
*NOTE*- I have 2 copies of SOTT, one I got from 1999 and one I got this year.... Check me out and add me on:

Purple Rain is just NOT the same on CD. The artwork is dull and soulless, like a test pressing -- as opposed to the whole packaging experience on the LP with the inserts, the cover, the poetry on the back, and the poster. Hopefully the reissued version will be better

Yeah reissues would be great and are long overdue. But I have my doubts they'll even be released in my lifetime and I'm only 25.

I hope to goodness that WB re-issue them. If it was left to Prince he'd most likely censor them.

Posthumously perhaps? But I'm not even sure that Prince will cop it in my lifetime and I'm 22.
