Hi new here - Got a Question

Hi beautiful people,

I do have a question.
I've bought recently the "Live in Aladdin - Vegas" dvd, and I noticed that the overall mix is not too good. (like the backing vox being sometimes more upfront in the mix than Prince's voice, some instruments are really loud in the mix and some can't hardly be heard, sometimes there's too much effect on the voice in the mix and so on)
I was wondering whether I had a faulty copy or if all the dvd's sound like that.

Thx for replying,

FL.

mine's like that too neutral
sometimes prince puts together sloppy product, but it's all good.
think of this one as an official bootleg, and you'll be fine thumbs up!

I can't say for sure, but they sound on mine is OK. You gotta remember it's a live recording with no overdubs. Usually people complain about the picture quality, because it was basically filmed with 5 or so hand held digital camcorders, then edited together later on - not a professional recording in other words. I burnt the audio onto CD, and I listen to that more than One Nite Alone...Live!

Hi folks,

thx for replying so quick.
Actually I don't really mind about it, it's just that I was wondering if I had a faulty copy, in which case I could have changed it at the store, u see?

Now if u tell me that it's quite normal, I'll stick with my copy. wink

And let's not be picky about it, it does sound awesome anyway.
(it's just those little thingies in the mix that bothers me, tis all) razz
