PRINCE´S GUITAR SOLO ON MAVIS STAPLES - "TIME WAITS 4 NO ONE" - ESSENTIAL TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE/1989/6:12/ WB/PAISLEY PARK
THE truth is that the song is good, not great or bad yes it´s a prince production,, 4 me it´s the guitar solo at the end of the song that makes me say " hey, prince plays the guitar with his heart and soul" I really love this song ... the GUITAR SOLO it´s just amazing.. I totally agree with ya!. This song is made a great song by the solo.
If you haven't seen the video you have to get hold of it somehow. My mate has the video recorded off MTV, pretty boring until she looks out of her flat window down on a Silouette of Prince in a trench coatand sunglasses with his Telecaster leaning up agains't a lamppost (Streetlight) Howling the solo. Personally one of my favourite Prince video Moments/Solos. | |

To me, It's a great song. I love both of the Mavis Staples Paisley records. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

I agree, this song and guitar solo are incredible and I was quite shocked, to see Prince in a music video other than one of his own, at the time.
