anybody has or heard of the mega and classic mega mix cd????????? ok check this out- back in 1990 I went to tower records (here in Hawaii) and like always I check the prince cd's. Of course at this time I saw 1999, purple rain and so on. Then I came across this cd with just a purple dot on the cover. the plastic wrap cover said "prince". the back of the cd on the bottom said classic mix and mega mix (both songs are about 12 and half minutes long). they are basically like the purple medly. classic covers songs from for you- controversy. new mega mix covers song from 1999- graffti bridge. never really new what it was at the time but decided to pick it up just in case. I never saw it at any store again. did anybody get this from a store. kinda weird always wonder if this was a bootleg, but since I got it from tower records how could it be. any info?????

Yes, it's a bootleg. I have it. I'm surprised that Tower was selling it. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

It's just 2 DJ mixes
The cd itself is called "The Royal Mix" The same label put out Madonna and Depeche Mode mixes as well. ::Official Member of the 1978-1995 Club::

There are two record labels that I know of that put out remixes and megamixes for clubs. I discovered this when I DJ'd for a club for a short period in the early 90s.
They two labels that I know of are: Ultimix Records Hot Tracks Records Search for their web sites on the web. I checked out their sites last year but you have a be a DJ to buy them. I downloaded a lot of mixes from Napster back when it was free. If you are a member of a download site, search for Ultimix or search for Hot Tracks. A list will come up with a lot of artists they have remixed. Andy is a four letter word.
