I read some where long ago that prince wanted to make purple rain a double album. some of the other songs where going to be G-spot and electric intercourse (I do believe), and that prince shot scenes in purple rain performing these songs. but since purple rain was not a double record those scenes of prince performing g-spot and electric intercourse were cut out. anybody know if this has made it onto the new dvd (if not some future dvd)?????

Don't know about it going anywhere further than that in 2 the future.

I read back in the day that "Purple Rain" was originally going to be a double album with the same songs but it would also include songs from The Time and Apollonia 6. Then they decided against it because they were afraid that people would not pay the high price for a double album.

In fact, if you listen to the very end of the outtake "Vibrator" one can clearly hear how it segues into the unmistakeable drum pattern of "G-Spot".
