man, prince is being hyped! it ain't even funny anymore. why do people all of a sudden acknowledge him as being a
genius and scream it at the top of their lungs? why now? just because he's playing along with the media? is that all it takes? prince is everywhere nowadays. hopefully he stays away from top of the pops. don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine

there's a difference between knowing he's a genius and actually saying it. in the 80's people were saying it/might have said it. but that's when he did some crazy ass shit that's still unbelievable. but halfway the nineties nobody cared anymore. and there seemed to be little mainstream respect, and love even, for prince/tafkap. now that he is once again prince, and now that he has toned down a bit--and now that he's positively been affiliated with a) the grammies, b)beyonce, c) alicia keys, d) outkast and e) the rock 'n roll hall of fame--prince is "cool" again? and why do we respect and love him again? because he's a "real" artist and came here to fill that void in music? give me a frikkin' break! man, that void's been here for several years up to a decade. why did he chose to shine his light upon us now? don't get me wrong, i like the fact that people acknowledge prince for what he is, a genius, but what's with all the hype!? don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine

I Don't care about the others, my main concern is you and me; The Others can praise Prince now for the wrong reaon, I just don't care. They are media/major driven. They live in the Digital Garden. That doesn't prevent you from listenning to Prince for the good reason: he is damn talented!
I am just happy "everything he does is success". When Prince is in artistic mood he gaves us TRC , SOTT or whatever. When he wants to get some "props n pounds" he ll get it.  | |

That's b/c some people can only eat what they're fed - they can't dig something unless they see everyone else diggin' it so therefore it's okay, probably the same folks who take heed to those "what's in/what's out" lists  They'll be criticizing him again in a while, when he's overexposed & they're tired of seeing his face... "bring back Britney!"

I Think Now Prince is Coming Across as a Gentleman , Talented Musician and all Around Musical Genius. All the Interviews have helped him come across asVERY PERSONABLE and Someone with a POSITIVE MESSAGE for tODAY"S Youth. Plus it's the NEW RECORD COMPANY PROMOTING him LIKE MAD. Remember he's with a Label that is Backing him and Pushing him. Plus Prince is like a Young Buck again. He's all Pumped and Stud Like onstage he's Flying. People are Digging his Act which is Really Cool. The Band Rocks. It's All Good Really. Prince has The BEST MIX. This is his Finest,Finest Hour. I am So happy he is Big Again Cause he is My favorite Musician and I Love him Sooo Much. He Turns me On like WildFire...Oh God..He's Such a Doll! Ive said here before on this site and Ill say it again, I could honestly care less what the media says or hypes. Whether it be a favorite artist or actor of mine whatever. Thats not going to change the way I look at the person or their art. Im glad the media is hyping him now because that just means I can see more of him on tv than I have in the past few years. I dont think it really matters what anyone else says, I just think so many ppl are followers and just like whatever is hot at the moment, in my case this isnt true but lots of ppl are like that. Im glad hes being hyped for this album because I think he deserves it. I just think ppl are in his ass now because hes alot more talkative and approachable, where as before he seemed "strange". Either way its going to have no affect on how I hear his music, media hype or none. Did you order a pizza ma'am? Prince- UTCM | |
