I dont recall Prince saying that, I would be suprised if he did?

I do recall Prince saying that he felt that he may have rushed the album a little.

Prince did make these comments, and they were printed in the 1988 Musician magazine article. He made these comments to a British journalist, saying "Apart from "Kiss",there's nothing on 'Parade' that I'm particularly proud of.I made the album too soon after 'Around The World The World In A Day' and I just didn't have enough good material ready.I'm not gonna make that same mistake again".

He really should consider making the same mistake again, you know.

I think it's because everything was so hodge podge back then. Parade/Joey Coco/Dream Factory/CB/SOTT. He may have been proud of certain songs...but I doubt he was entirely pleased with any final configurations of any of these. Also, the final config of Parade was missing certain songs he may have been proud of more...like All my dreams, There's others here with us, old frriends for sale...

I am sure he wouldn't make that statement now about that album.

He did Madhouse 8 and 16 in 3 days...

Batman actually got a longer attention holding from Prince than most projects biggrin . And it was pretty good IMO.

I really doubt he would think that now, he's done Girls and Boys, Venus de Milo, Under the Cherry Moon, Mountains and Sometimes it Snows in April since that comment was made.
