OK folks, I wanna hear how First Ave was last night? What was the crowd like? Music? Vids? Any special guestds (I heard that Dez had cancelled) I had this fantasy that Prince would call the club at 5:00 and just say "hey, OK if I pop over with an acustic guitar" and surprise everyone at midnight with an acoustic set! I'm sure it didn't happen. Well folks, how was it?

Well, without name-checking everybody there, it was GREAT. The First Avenue Dancers were awesome. In the middle of running a soundless video of Purple Rain, the First Avenue Dancers would come out on stage and dance to a particular Prince tune. They *sizzled* on "Scarlet Pussy".

No special guests that I saw there. Japanese NPG members came out dressed like the Purple Entourage circa 1985.

Drinks were dirt-cheap and so was the admission.

It rocked!!! (I almost hate going back to NYC).
