When C & D came out I liked it and still do, I thought it sounded like a Revolution album, execpt for I Rock what's the problem? I would have rather had I rock replace Jam of the year. I ,ock,Jam of the year Positivity and Life of the party are all tracks that under achieved.

But take a look at the track list and you tell me the problem you have with each track, here's how I feel about them.

-Chaos And Disorder: Hendrix wouldn't be mad at this one.

I Like It There: electrically raw and fun to play load.

-Dinner With Delores: I love these smooth vocals and groovey chords, wish McCarthy would cover this one.

-The Same December: I Liked this one after I saw the Video, but yeah, somehow it sounds sloppy.

-Right The Wrong: O. K ,it's a little silly somehow this could have been better.

-Zannalee: I love this one! Hate to admit it but it's a good stripper track.
( I once saw a dance to Endorphin machine that I'll never forget!)

-I Rock, Therefore I. Am: It's the best of the ones I already listed. it's psudeo.

-Into The Light/I Will: these 2 are nothing like he's' ever done and stand alone, what's not to like?

-Dig U. Better Dead: If U base your dislike for this CD on this track, then you have a case, but one track can't kill the whole thing!

-Had U: this blew me away! Wish he let the ending carry on a little longer.
but only prince could summarize an encounter with such bitter sweet creativity!

All I can say is it's better than,Come,Diamonds and pearls and Graffiti Bridge.

I don't hate Chaos And Disorder at all. In fact, I LOVE it. It was the first Prince album I heard and it totally shattered all of my preconceived notions about Prince. Basically it was the album that made me a Prince fan. So it will always have a special place in my heart.

One thing I really like about it is it's length. I find that many Prince albums (Graffiti Bridge, Diamonds And Pearls, Symbol (I don't know what to call it. The one from 1992.) are about 20-25 minutes too long, meaning they have too much filler. But Chaos And Disorder is very tight at under 40 minutes.

I also find the songs to be very consistent. Yes, it does sound like it was recorded very quickly but I think that is part of the album's charm.

One last thing, a few reviews of the album said that if anybody else had released it, it would have been hailed as one of the best albums of the year. I strongly agree! What albums released in 1996 are better than Chaos And Disorder? I know there are some but I think it is up there. Certainly top 25.
