musicology help (and other stuff) I have a couple of questions
I got MUSICOLOGY about a month ago, and I love it, but I can't find out how to play it on my computer. I can only watch the video. How do I play the rest of the songs? Also, I'm fifteen and just became a Prince fan when musicology came out, and I got tickets to the Musicology tour in August. Besides the performance on Ellen, and the songs on launch, I haven't even heard any of his other songs. You guys talk about Purple Rain all the time, and I never heard it I don't have much money, so I was thinking I should get the HITS 1 and 2, to learn some of the music before the concert, and also, the RAVE concert on dvd (because it looks cool) do you think this will be enough to know the songs for the concert? Thanks

it's a good start considering it's a greatest hits tour, but i'm sure others will agree the first thing you should listen to after the concert is sign 'o times, and work your way backwards to purple rain.....welcome aboard! just out of curiosity, are you m or f?

Thanks You might have more luck opening up the program that plays your music (windows media player perhaps?) and using the menu to 'open' the tracks on the cd by navigating to the cd drive. The Hits are a good place to start... get the 3 cd set and you get a cd of excellent b-sides too... shame they are not in chronological order. Or there's the Best of Prince for a more concise hits collection. Since a lot of the concert tracks come from Purple Rain, I'd buy that album promptly!

It's REALLY worth it to buy The Hits/The B-Sides set all together....that was my first Prince CD and I've never looked back and have every release now. Definitely go for that one if you can afford it...you won't regret the B-sides disc...some of his best songs EVER are on there!

ok, I think I'll spend the extra cash and get the hits/b-sides, and either sign o' the times or purple rain.
Thanks for the help | |

I'd start with Purple Rain; it was the first Prince album I owned in the 80s...and still my favorite after all these years!! And don't forget to buy the movie on DVD too!! "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

If you're just starting out then the best thing would be to go and by a 'greatest hits' album first
(either 'The Very Best Of Prince' or 'The Hits / The B-Sides'). That way you'll get a taste for the various eras and styles. Then you could buy whichever albums your favorite songs come from.
