i was wondering if anyone has one of these gold or platinium presentation discs that get awarded for an x amount of sales? i would love to get to get my hands on one of these...especially sign o the times...that would be look brilliant hanging up in my house.
...so if anyone has one of these...where did you get it?...how much did you pay for it(if you dont mind me asking).....i can see my credit card taking another battering soon

It was my 28th birthday and I got together with my mom and dad for lunch. This was the first time in about 25 years that I was with both my parents in the same place together, being friends, being my parents. They got divorced when I was 4 and for me to have them together on friendly terms with me was one of the best birthday presents I ever had.

So we're eating our lunch and it comes time for gifts. My parents are both grinning like lunatics as my dad hands me my gift. I unwrap it and practically faint in my hysteria. It was a platinum album award for the Purple Rain album!!! My dad found it at an estate sale. I have no idea what he paid for it. It's my most prized Princely possession

Several years ago I was in talks with a former P associate on buying an award they were contemplating selling but it kinda fizzled halfway through and I never heard back on if they wanted to sell it or not
