I Like A Million Days Alot More than Call my Name and well Illusion Could also have been like top 40 stuff. This song is like an Adore . Nothing wrong with that but not Pop more Slow Jams.

It should have been A Million Days, you're right. If not that, it should have been Dear Mr Man. If not those, The Marrying Kind, Cinnamon Girl or If I (eye) Was the Man In Your Life. BUT CALL MY NAME??!?! I mean, it's OK but not really single material.

No I don't feel ya on this. ICPC is a great song but most people won't bother trying to remember the whole title and end up calling it "Illusia Connie's Pimples Circumvent" or something. MillionDays is suited better for the Star 10?'s and pop 40 stations while Call is geared towards "Urban" pop 40 and the "Quiet storm" formats. Jeux Sans Frontiers

Personally, EYE like Call my name better. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

The best case scenario, (obviously), is singles from Musicology hitting on different radio formats. Call My Name is doing great on Urban. Cinnamon Girl could spread on alternative and maybe some rock stations. A Million Days could probably do well on Top 40. This album has the potential to be HUGE, sales wise.
And I love Call My Name. The man is just singing his heart out.

Nup, don't feel you either.
Call My Name is an excellent choice for a 2nd single. The others are good, too, but as a 2nd single, there couldn't be a better choice in my opinion.

Your opinion is great...FOR ME TO POOP ON!! "Call My Name" is soulful and slammin'...Prince hasn't forgotten where he came from...Tha man can write a slow jam like nobody else!

"Cinnamon Girl" should be a single, as well as "Dear Mr. Man", and "Illusion...".

Either way, nothing's gonna get the album to #1. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

Oh now Prince has to hit number One otherwise... You didn't even see it hitting the top ten, so now that it has, you're saying "it's not #1". You're really something.

That's the best negative comment you can find to make? You're really reaching. The album doesn't NEED to go to #1. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

well, maybe a full weeks worth of sold out shows then again, even that would only give him 100k max sales in a week. i don't see why people have a need to have thier enjoyment of princes music validated by chart position, but to each their own ...

I don't think a single person here needs to have their enjoyment validated, it's not about that. It's just about Prince getting what he deserves as one of the greatest musical legends of all time. It's just always nice to see some success come his way is all. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Call my name... Horrible second single!
Horrible choice for an album track. Prince at his most bog-standard.

He doesn't have to hit #1, and he won't. The album is already losing whatever momentum it had and the majority of tickets have already been sold, so it's all downhill from here. He's lucky he had little competition on the charts. His timing was great. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

"Cinnamon Girl" or "A Million Days" would have been good choices.
Call My Name is an okay song, but surely NOT a single-hit -----------------------------------------

How do you define hit? It should be in the top 40 on the billboard R&B chart next week.
