B-side songs that are variations of A-sides

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that Prince samples his OWN music/uses his own influences. He doesn't look to 70's funk riffs to create all his grooves (okay, ~some~ times..). Eg. I love that during "Adore" he mentions Crucial and some other contemporary song titles..

In which songs does he reference (by name) his own songs? like above..

I also LOVE the fact that a great song will/can have several variations. A lot of the b-sides used the same beats as the a-side songs, but with different lyrics/arrangments, so you get several songs out of one great groove.

So, I can think of:
Horny Toad/Delirious
Escape/Glam Slam
Mutiny/Controversy

What others are there?

He recycles the chant "Reproduction of a new breed -- Leaders, Stand Up, Organize" from "Sexuality" on "The Rainbow Children."

Joy in Repitition mentions "Soul Psychedelicide"

Reproduction of a new breed -- Leaders, Stand Up, Organize is in TRC as mentioned and is in another song too (maybe Let's go crazy 12") I can't remember.

Come Album has the Vanity "Vibrator" dialog all over it...this dialog is also part of Madhouse 8.

There are plenty I am sure.

Hot Thing talks about going to the Crystal Ball, 'Crystal Ball' was supposed to be an album and song that was later parred down to 'Sign 'O' The Times'.

'Batdance' he mentions the 'Electric Chair', which is another song on the soundtrack.

Alphabet Street 12 inch had a great remix on the reverse - This Is Not Music, This Is A Trip.

The Partyman Purple Party Mix includes samples from Sexy Dancer, I Wanna Be Ur Lover, Head, Partyup, Let's Work, 1999, Raspberry Beret, Erotic City, Kiss, U Got The Look, HouseQuake, Alphabet Street - That's got to be the ultimate sample song!

I own Partyman - Purple party mix on vinyl but nothing to play it on.

Get Off from the New Power Generation maxi is the precursor to Gett Off from Diamonds & Pearls. Different lyrics, but some of the same riffs.

'International Lover'.

Also, there was a B-side called '2 Whom It May Concern'.

Also, has anybody noticed how the melody of the unreleased studio version of 'If I Had A Harem' closely resembles that of the instrumental coda at the end of 'Splash'?

In fact, they're fairly identical.

Scandalous' beats are Eye Wish U Heaven's (era's close to one another)
200 Balloons' beats are Batdance's
I Wish U Heaven samples Eye No "Clap yo hands, and stomp yo feet"
Violet the Organ Grinder (and all them other remixes, but Violet is good having it's own identity) beats from Gett Off
The whole world of Cream exploited and uplifted to the most positive energy song of personal affirmation with "Do Your Dance"
Sidenote: Prince recycled the I Wish U Heaven beats once in Martika's Love Thy Will Be Done
I wonder if Movie Star is behind the manner in which Prince says in Hello "You're a star"...probably not?
"Brother Marice will be round in a minute with a bucket filled in it squirrel meat" Beautiful Night/Superfunki

That's all I can think of right now...
heavy feather flicka nipple baby scram water ripple

Playgirl' by Elisa Fiorillo (written by Prince) has samples of 'Raspberry Beret' in it.
There's also the nod to 'Kiss' in 'Acknowledge Me'.
'All That' by Carmen Electra (written by Prince) uses the backing track of 'Adore'.
and of course 'Eye No' is' 'The Ball' with different lyrics.

If I remember correctly, the intro to the Girl 6 title track samples "Raspberry Beret"
