Oh Man, I loved Letitgo; Pheremone (is he talking about his lover and his lover's lover?); Dark, Solo.

Even though this song isn't on the "Come" CD, I love "Billy Jack Bitch" to death. I play the hell out of that sometimes.

I first heard most of the songs from Come on "The Beautiful Experience" film and at the time I thought they were awesome. The speeded up version of "Come" was funky, "Loose" sounded cool and even "Race" had me interested.

I was extremely disappointed when I heard the tracks on the album though. It just didn't work. Maybe because in the film they were surrounded by genuinely great songs like "Days of Wild", "TMBGITW", "Shhh" and "The Jam".

If it wasn't for all the politics a best of Come/Gold Experience would have been mouth watering!

Come is the best Prince album in the whole 90's decade, period.

The end of the title track is one of Prince's finest moments on record.
I do think Come is underrated. I think it's much less uneven than prince, or even Gold.
The difference is that while I liked Come better on first listen, but I listened to both of those albums much longer than Come.
I find his short albums since the 90's(Come, Chaos, The Truth, NPS, Musicology) to be immediately accessable, but maybe not his best.

Come is to Prince as Low is to Bowie. Just my thought. wink

Good example.

I don't think there is a weak moment on "Come"... well, perhaps those synth lines in the chorus of "Space", but other than that it's definitely overlooked. Even "Orgasm" kinda works me. Further specifics witheld.

Yep. There are some very nice songs, I'm listening to it right now. I played it before, and now I'm playing it again, and there are some nice tunes on there from beginning to end. Some things are graphic, I don't like too much, but the songs are real cool. It is definetely UNDERRATED, but not in my book!!!
