i didn't think he disbanded them, i think they just left. Wendy and lisa left in '86 but i don't know about brown mark and the rest of them...maybe someone else knows. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |

Actually, W&L did leave in early/mid '86. Shortly, after Wendy was fined $500 by Prince for stepping out into a hotel hallway with a beer in her hand, they took it as the final straw and decided to quit. They got as far as the airport before Prince sent someone to beg them to come back. He needed them around for the Parade tour.  After that he fired them. lol Maybe he wanted the last word. | |

It's been a while since I've read about it, but I either recall reading, or read the implication that Wendy & Lisa didn't like Prince's increasing tendancies to spend time away from the band with his new cronies - namely the male dancers from the expanded Revolution - Greg & Wally. | |

i always thought that that "Possessed" book was just a book of accusations and speculations and that most of the stuff in there wasn't true and was just written by some Prince hater who drank too much hater-aid. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |
