The Holy River without question! Arguably his best song from the 90's. Great song and great video.

Then there's Betcha By Golly Wow. I know a lot of people hate this and find it embarrassing but I don't really understand that. I think it's because they loved the original but I like both. It's certainly no way as bad as some people here make out.

Also Courtin' Time is great fun (though much derided here as well from what I've read), Curious Child and Dreamin' About U are excellent, One Of Us is a fine cover version (again), and The Love We Make is top notch - best origianal song on CD3 which is is pretty lame overall.

THE HOLY RIVER is the only song from EMANCIPATION that I can't live without. It's one of the most beautiful moments of his career. Listen to his voice and that EMOTION...and flapping hell how good is that guitar solo?

Hard to pick just two. Joint 2 Joint might be in there if it wasn't overly long. Take your pick from the following four:

Somebody's Somebody
Sex in the Summer
The Holy River
Human Body

Are there any good songs on Emancipation????

I agree with you. It's 'unmemorable'...

Ok. first: Nothing on Disk two. It's good 4 fallin asleep. Nothing else.

The best r 'Betcha by golly wow' (if Kitsch then real Kitsch)
and 'Style' ...ok 'slave' also ...but the rest?? hmm

i've listened to it more than a few times and it just seems quite tuneless and unmemorable.

Tuneless? You're incorrect, sir. It has some of the most accessible pop songwriting Prince has done ever - it's a whole different debate if you reckon it's unmemorable though.

Disc II is mostly for ppl in love; it's magical. Don't know how anyone can say songs like Let's Have a Baby, Joint 2 Joint and Soul Sanctuary could put them to sleep, but that's me. I think Disc II is some of the best work he's ever done.

I can't only pick two... Definitely 'The Love We Make.'And the other one? It depends on your taste I guess, the 3 CDs have so much to choose from. 'In this Bed I scream,' maybe?

I know i'm the one who started this thread, but someone really needs to tally up the results, i had no idea this would be so popular, i'm curious what songs currently have the most votes now.
