Musicology Missing One Thing

A rapper. Research shows that Hip-Hop is really super duper trendy now-a-days and if you have a rapper on your Album it is more likely to go to number one. If only Prince could have snatched up someone cool and hip like Chuck D or Doug E Fresh he may not be stalling at number 3. Just look at Usher. His new single has a rapper and he is doing just fine. IF someone cool and hip isn't available perhaps some local talent may have been the way to go. I hear Tony M. and TC Ellis are available. It's too late now, but just think what could have been... neutral

UMMMM I think there's a huge percentage of prince fans that would vote against the rap idea. confused He's gone there and I personally think it was horrible. Most of what he's loved for doesn't touch rap, so I think he's ok doing without..... Just my opinion.....

OH please, OH please, OH please tell me you're not serious.?? eek With the exception of Common who has already worked with him, Prince does not need to go down that road again. The only M.C's out now that would give him a small boost are MOS DEF or Talib Kweli, maybe Kanye West but that would seem as though he is trying too hard to stay hip and with it. cooked shake

p.s. Lil' Jon says ( pull string ) " YEEAAHHH!! OOOKAAAYYY!!!"

Excellent idea, Spanky!! The only ones I could think of, though, to add to this project is Lil' John and Ludacris!!! They'd have really put this album over the top, from an artistic and commercial standpoint!!! Somebody e-mail or post this to the NPGMC and alert them to this brilliant idea!! LOL!

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Prince has a mixture of reggae & rap thrown in there in "LOTP', although I don't think it really matters.
