This song has really moved me as no other Prince had done in a very long time. I really think that had it be included in either "Rave..." or "Musicology" both albums would have greatly benefit from it.

I wholeheartedly agree!! It's simply beautiful!! First time I heard it I was almost brought to tears. It's been a while since a Prince slow ballad has captured me like this. He should've included it in Musicology. Great song!

Yes, indeed...this is a great track. Yet another one that few people will ever know existed because it wasn't put on a released album.

And what do you all think of the extended part on "U Make My Sun Shine"? the part at the end when Angie and Prince trade vocal licks and do those oh so beautiful gospel armonies. That and "The Dance" almost brought me to tears indeed, and Prince's music hadn't really touched me this way for so long.

and what do you guys think about "Van Gough"?

I absolutely love "The Dance" - the melodies in that song are gorgeous, and the vocals are delicious. I'd love to see this song get more attention.
