Prince is fudging the numbers. Kind of unfair. All you others say Hell Yea!!

Coooool. The great thing is that not too many other artists could do the "giveaway" concert CD successfully (not enough tickets sold) or would WANT to. It's another innovative aproach by Prince that's paying off.

The only "fair" in this world is a place with cotton candy and livestock. Nothing's "fair" about advertising dollars spent by huge corporations on terrible blockbuster movies, or blockbuster albums by other far less talented, people. It's a new approach that anyone could do if they wanted to do.

actually, this reflects ONLY sales. when billboard comes out with their figures, the tour numbers will be factored in. hitsdailydouble only shows what was actually sold in wrecka stows/music outlets.

He's had another? I just think he got lucky, or somebody at Columbia did.

The orginal estimate for concert give aways was only 400k
but looking at the added concerts this will increase to around 900k+ dont u think thats the true figure/? Remeber the concert CDs r manufacutred by NPG and not sony and the deal he has with sony gives him a % of sales and dont include a signin bonus

It'll be interesting to see the chart position drop and then bounce up again during these two and half weeks with no concerts and then when they pick up again.

He's had another? I just think he got lucky, or somebody at Columbia did. its been said that he has been quoted in interviews as far back as 96 with a plan to give his latest album away with a concert ticket. he's basically bided his time until now to do it. but basically his plan sounds about 8 years old. whats mental is its so revolutionary now imagine how it owuld have been then?
