way back in 1984 i always felt Prince and Sheila E would be the perfect couple and i thought eventually they would have gotten married or something but now i look back on it they were probably too much a like and probably Prince thinks of her more like a sister than a lover ...i mean in the mid 80's she was more like a female version of Prince

Not here to start a war, as whether anyone believes that she is gay is not important in terms of her talent or humanitarian efforts, but she is gay. She may or may not be married and have kids and believe me that's wonderful in any case. But, gay does not equal no kids or partners of the opposite sex to help raise them.

I know very well that she is gay based on a couple of experiences I know of first hand and through others...I have worked in radio for years and our paths crossed more than once.

Plus, Prince seems to have an artistic affinity with lesbians if you also include Wendy and Lisa in the mix. All three of those women have lifted him to an artistic height at one time or another.

If you go back to read that thread, the poster claimed her MOM saw Sheila E. in a grocery store with a male and a couple kids. The poster's MOM: 1) ASSUMED it was definitely Sheila; 2) that the male was Sheila's husband; and 3) that the kids were Sheila's. The poster's mom never approached this woman she believed to be Sheila and ask her if those people were her husband and children (which would have been incredibly rude) but guess what? I've gone out in public with my cousin and his kids!!!! GASP! If anyone saw us, they might WRONGLY assume he was my husband and his kids, mine. See what I'm saying?

The person who posted this GROUNDBREAKING INFORMATION never even herself saw Sheila in a store, and if it even WAS actually Sheila in that store, her mother never actually KNEW FOR A FACT that those people with Sheila (if it was even her) were a husband and Sheila's own, biological kids. Sheila has brothers and neices and nephews, and I would imagine other extended family with whom she associates, AND she probably has close friends she spends time with. To just arbitrarily assume those people were Sheila's husband and kids was ridiculous, presumptious and naive.

Even more ridiculous to then go post on here some secondhand sighting/unproven, unsubstantiated information as though it was hard evidence of Sheila being married and having kids. Some people just want to start sensationalistic threads for attention when in actuality, what "information" they're posting amounts to nothing more than a pile of .

Sheila was on BET Live a few years back talking about her ingagement (to a man) and flashed the rock on her finger, so this shit about her being gay is really irrelevant.

People Without talk shit when their not asked...Sheila is NOT gay and at one time her and Prince were engaged. I have photos of her with the ring on and it was HUGE...(like J-Lo 40 karats huge.) 'Til this day Sheila and Prince are still very close. He gets mostly all of his bandmembers through her (they usually play with her first then end up in his bands.) The list is numerous (off the top) Levi, Miko, Rhonda, Kat, Renato, Rad, Rosie...I just went blank, but I am sure they're more. They broke up because they had different views on where they were headed. Both in the relationship and musically...

Ummm...I don't Sheila E is married...has kids.....or is gay...not that any of that matters. And from what I could gather from reading Alex Hahn's book....Prince and Sheila did have something a long time ago. Now....personally...and created in my head...i've always thought Prince and Sheila should be married.
