hi everybody!

aside from the fame,money and attention that prince is getting....do you ever stop to wonder if he envies YOU?

for instance,i can go to the mall to just shop around and be left alone.

i can have a "bad hair day" no makeup and still get hit on(don't understand that one)

it seems like too much pressure to be "on" all the time.

does he ever wish that he could just rest?


what do you guys think?

I Think he is Just Fine and not Envying.

His love is for music, and he knows there ain't nobody bad like him. I doubt he envies anyone outside his own mirror image.

i think that ALL stars get upset with all the public attention at some point or another there has to be a day when they say, damn, i wish we could just go out to _____ , but you know they wouldnt leave us alone.....i think at some points, although probably not many, it starts to feel lonely being on top

I think that the only thing that prince could envy his fans for is the fact that - no matter how great prince is, no matter how phenomenal his shows are and no matter how awe inspiring his musicianship is - poor old prince has never had the experience of witnessing Prince live. He's never witnesses his greatness. he has lived through his musical/cultural impact but has never been touched by it in the same way a fan has. Prince has never waited as desperately to hear the new Prince album as a fan. Nor could he ever experience the same feeling as we had/have when putting the needle on the newewst prince record and waiting anxiously in those few secondsa for those opening bars of his latest work. Prince could never cry the same tears as some did when listening to his guitar solo on 'while my guitar gentley weeps' at this years RRHOF. As great, admired and adored as an artist is, i believe it is the observer who has the most priveliged position. I am thankful to be the recipricant of Prince's work as opposed to its creator.
