All I know is that it needs lots of clocks with hands that go blindingly fast.

Good question. I'm no good at this but what the hay...

Prince in a room, just singing the song...no band....lady just left. He's looking out the window as her car/taxi is driving off.

Throw in some flashbacks into why she left...Prince and lady arguing whatever.

I like Aerogram's idea of spinning clocks...throw that in.. giggle

In the end, show the band...they're playing the song and Prince loses it, cause it's hitting too close to home...hence the scream.

Don't worry ya'll. I'll keep my day job. giggle

anything's possible. prince shouldn't be in it, cuz it'd take away from the song.

Didn't George Michael try that with questionable success back in the day? Heck, Prince tried that with SOTT and When 2 R in Love now that I think about it. Since this song isn't exactly deep or anything, I think he could be in a video without being too distracting.

IMO it's as creative as 599 posts about how great Prince is.

But to answer your question I don't think there will be any more videos. Why would he bother when the musicology single failed so bad and the sales of the album fell so fast? Videos cost big money and it would probably be a bad investment.

Hey I will tell you that Prince is great 600 times, if you want, and each way will be more creative than the vile words spewed out by the people around here who forever view the glass of life as half empty. [don't.--Dansa]

The interesting thing is that from what I have determined from your posts is that you are a glass half-empty or all the way empty kind of person when it comes to every single thing other then Prince.

I have never quite understood why the people who can't stand to see Prince criticized come to this site when the NPGMC forums are obviously the place to be if you want ultra positive Prince talk.

1st of all-
thank you for taking the time to go through and read my past postings. I don't know whether to be flattered or creeped out.

2ndly-
If someone is going to critique something with supporting facts or ideas to back it up then that's cool. But simply saying that "it sucks" or "is lame" doesn't cut it and suggests a certain pessimistic attitude in general. I am not glass is half empty person on all things non-Prince. If it pleases you, I can genuinely gush over how cool Andre 3000 (or whomever else) is. However, this is a Prince fansite and so I'll probably save that for another place.

A bit premature, wouldn't you say? The Musicology video has been hailed from all corners, and it's still rising up the VH-1 countdown. The album just came out 13 days ago, and it certainly hasn't fallen off the charts! It debuted at #3 on Billboard. Sure, it will dip, just as every release from every "legacy" artist dips after week 1.

But let's not forget that the biggest-selling "adult" albums of the last 5-6 years (Norah Jones' first album, the O Brother soundtrack, and Santana's Supernatural) didn't start moving big numbers until months after their initial release dates. It takes time and slow build to reach critical mass for a mature audience...unlike the teen TRL audience that is currently pushing Usher to the platinum level right out of the box.

Prince is having unqualified success in all areas of the game. A hugely successful tour. Glowing live reviews in all the papers. A solid album debuting in the Top 5. A renewed respect from rock fans after the "Guitar Gently Weeps" solo. A reawakened public appreciation.

So anyone who uses the word "failed" in conjunction with Prince's current activities is either blind, stupid, ignoring reality, jealous or just plain flamebaiting.

I'd be content with a live performance of the song as the music video!!

Live performance videos are just sooo 1983 though. They scream "I didn't want to spend any $$" and they rarely get alot of airplay anymore.
