I FIGURED IT OUT!!! Its the DRUMS! Lately the drums have sounded SOOOO boring, THATS the problem. All the new stuff seems to drag. Its the drums. They need SOMEthing else on em. I was thinking about this 2 day, while i was listening 2 "i would die 4 u", ok the fake drum are sooo 80's but in my eyes can sound so much better than what he doing now, dnt get me wrong i love hes new music, but it still doesn't have IT, his old stuff sounds so fresh even today, "Musicology" sounds like sumthing i've heard already, i know prince has 2 move on, But maybe he needs 2 bring bak sumthing from the past. Well i do play at that level. Drums, guitar, bass, and keys, so you might be right. But i was talking about the sound of the drums, not the playing of. Pay attention. [Name-calling removed... Yeah, he doesnt need the "fake" 80s drums to have an awesome drum sound, but I agree. The drums on Rave, TRC and Musicology are so flat and dull. He needs a drum sound like the sound Michael B got out of his drums. Even the last song he did w/ Prince, "Baby Knows" - the drums sounded awesome on there. I definitley think that would give his music a boost. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 6, 6... | |
