That is one of the stupidist, most pointless bits in any movie ever! I love that bit! Why did prince think that bit should be included is beyond me! Maybe that bit was longer originally and the company cut it, but it sure is funny!

Phillip C rules! lol

I actually like the movie, ha well at least his performance in it, ya the story was Blah, but in a great direction.

But one of his coolest performances i've seen is "Elephants and Flowers" and also "tick tick bang"

Prince should at least have given him a gun mike instead of resorting to using his finger as the barrel of a gun. razz

You think Tick Tick Bang was cool? Wow..different strokes for different folks I guess. I was embarassed watching it..even Jimmy Jam is playing a gameboy during the "performance" lol. Prince shimmying all over the ground and rubbin himself..that was coo in 1984 during I Would Die 4 U but in 1990? But like I said: different strokes for different folks.

anyways, how did your video song project work out?
Oh my, oh my.

I truly can't believe how people think it was a bad performance. He painted a great picture for the song, and he was always moving. And the vocals on the song are awsome, "..Ur such a Queeeeen Bee!"

that video project was cancelled so i could work on a gig that went very well. after that i just kept recording projects. Thanks for remembering tho.

Right now i have two projects, getting an EP or Album project done, and another album which is a 30min instrumental, heart felt project, Improv.

I remember when they showed preview to Graffiti Bridge about 6 months before it was released, and one of the clips included a piece from the "Tick Tick Bang" performance. I thought it was awesome -- the way he dressed, the way he danced, the whole feeling of the performance. It made me excited to see the movie. I still love the song -- something about the rhythm, the way it changes, gets jerky, and then ejaculates... "all over you."

Phillip C was Prince's hair stylist, who stood in for the film.

You will also see that the hair stylist is credited as Phillip Carreon.

Also covered here:

http://www.prince.org/msg...msg_554682

Aside from an appearance in 'Partyman', he's also credited in the liner notes of 'Diamonds and Pearls'.

I think I've tracked him down.

The name is spelled "Philip" instead of "Phillip", but its got to be him because a reviewer on this page: http://losangeles.citysea...boc_ew_3_2 has called herself "Paisley Princess". Obviously a fam.

Uhhh. I don't think Earl Jones was Jill's father. I'm not sure. But I think Jill's father is/was Berry Gordy's brother or something like that. Her mother sang backkup and managed Teena Marie.

I never heard of any connection between Earl and Jill.
