I'm in the habit of checking these things regularly now. He had fallen to #4 the past couple days, but he's bumped back up. I wonder what this 5 network special will do for album sales. Add to that other songs starting to get airplay now and this cd might have some real staying power. Even when Prince hit high positions with albums since PR and SOTT, other albums quickly fell after the initial chart peak. With a big long tour and more singles to come, Musicology may have legs to run quite a while.

Um, why do people keep mentioning how much money Prince is or will make this year?? We're not in his books, so no one really knows for sure. Now, if he were doing all of this on his own, I could maybe see what you were saying, but he's now brought in a few thrid parties who have gotten him all of this exposure and who have to be paid too. I'm sure he's gonna get the biggest slice of the profit (after all of that bitching in the 90's about the industry), but some people on here are saying he might earn $50-70 million, and that's just PURE speculation (and probably wishful thinking)!! Plus, it's not like we're gonna get a piece of any of the cheese he earns, so who cares! LOL!

Good question Alex. For one, it's an interesting topic that's always discussed, hence shows like The Apprentice or lists like the Forbes 500 richest people. But, more importantly to P followers, the more he earns the more he can spend on productions and releasing new material.
