Why Is Greg Boyer the "Ice Cream Man"? Sorry if this has been brought up before but....
Has anyone noticed that Prince always calls Greg Boyer (his trombonist) the "ice cream man"? I know he did it at the Staples Center show & he did it here in Honolulu a couple of times. When he wanted a trombone solo during the aftershow, he yelled out "Ice cream!" & sure enough, Greg steps up promptly to the front & does his thing. Anybody on the inside of this inside joke? | |

He said this during the Sydney concert as well.
Greg was dressed in a white suit, and the cut and style of the suit made him look like Mr Whippy. Looked funny! Prince gave him the cue to do the solo and told him to "put some sprinkles on it" Xperience the Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com/
