Yet another Musicology review... Found this in the latest issue of Scagazines:
"Purple Prince Prances On Musicology" by Spooky Electric The Purple One is back with a new album "Musicology", released this week on Sony/Columbia. Prince hasn't released a decent album for over a decade. In the 90s, he released too many overblown albums and all his music was about record companies and/or religion. Now with Musicology, Prince has cleaned up his act and released an album that again reminds us of his genius. The title track is funky, track _____ is good, track _____ is also good, but tracks _____ are weak because it's already been done before. In conclusion, Musicology is cool, but not as good as his string of hit albums from 1982-87. Is it just me, or do 99.9% of reviews pretty much say this in some form or another...
