I had been trying to figure out what song "Cinnamon Girl" sounds like since the first time I heard it and it finally hit me; "Rebel, Rebel" by David Bowie. Can anybody else hear it during the guitar riff?

well i have noticed that "on the couch" and "insatiable" are very similar...music wise anyways

The guitar riff on Cinnamon Girl is almost exactly the same guitar solo, and song for that matter, as Damned If You Do on Emancipation. The begginings of the guitar solo's are EXACTLY the same in my opinion, queue it up, you will hear it. I have flashbacks to 96 everytime I listen to it.

What a great song Cinnamon Girl is too, when he sings the "as war drums beat in babylon" part, it sort of reminds me of that "We Will Be Invincible" song from the Legend Of Billie Jean in the mid eighties.

Have you listened to the Contest Song from Year One of the NPGMC back to back with Cinnamon Girl? I think Cinnamon Girl grew out of the Contest Song...
