Purple Rain didnt chart before 1999. The 1999/LRC single was released after the success of PR but the album was already out. Interesting though that Controversy and anything earlier didnt chart at all. I wonder if thats true or whether they scraped into the Top100 somewhere? | |

Purple Rain didnt chart before 1999. Yes it did. Purple Rain charted on the 21 July 1984 whereas 1999 didn't chart until 8 September the same year. | |
