One Days are in at hitsdailydouble.com, and it looks like the album should do well. Without the giveaways, it's somewhere below the 200,000 expected for the Mario Winans album. I'm guessing in the 150,000 range. With the giveaways, he should be right there with the Winans album, or slightly ahead of it. Either way, a good possibility of an excellent starting chart position.

I had to go to two stores to buy it and got the LAST copy at Circuit City. IT's selling like hotcakes in the Bay Area!

they had a huge display at Target in Northern Virginia. It was by far the most prominently featured title on their new release end-cap. They had it priced at 11.99 though, which is higher than normal for them on new releases.

does anyone know what this album shipped? that will answer a lot of questions... i'm assuming they did'nt ship more than 500,000

Another factor is that there is an MTV special friday/saturday. That could boost weekend sales beyond what the initial day's sales would indicate. It does seem clear he's at least in the top 3.

it's unclear if this means they can count CDs priced into the concert ticket price or not. Would guarantee a platinum album if they can. The other thing that's unclear is that even if they can factor in the "free" CDs, what happens to all of the ones that were given out before 4/20. Are they never counted, or did they have a way to not report them until this week. If they were allowed to delay reporting those, he's guaranteed to be debut #1 and guaranteed to stay in the top 10 for months.

When I heard Prince on one of his MANY interviews on Monday, he mentioned how the free CDs will not, repeat, not count toward Soundscan numbers.

Although I don't think the concert CDs will count at all (in terms of "sales"), Prince clearly said in 1 of those interviews that they would in fact count. Can anyone remember which interview it was?

I KNOW!!! I had to go to 2 different stores cause they sold out. All the Prince shelves were empty. And I wasn't the only one looking for the CD either.
