NPD313 -- did BET change the time? So, if what NPGMC.com is saying, then MTV and then BET will be airing their own Musicology specials on the same night, an hour apart? Not sure about the timings, but I'm also curious if these will be two separate shows, or the same show shown on two stations? | |

i hope they show the whole performance...Prince really made this a special nite for me.. not only did he invite me on stage to dance but he singled me out and brought me up front to dance side by side with him but after the performace he pointed @ me and nod his haed as in saying good job... he's a real cool brutha... | |

Sony is really working for our man...THANK GOD! Very true about Sony "doing the work" for Prince (at least I think that is what's happening). This also proves a point to all the naysayers, which is that it's not the music that was lacking, it was the lack of proper promotion from a major label that was pushing Prince to the background for the past several years. It also proves a point which we all already know, which is that it's not so much that all the music that we are forced to hear on radio and TV is really good, it's just that the major labels are doing their best to force it down our throats. With the proper promotion, nearly anybody can be in the top 40. Prince seems to have made a conscious effort to "get back in the game"... and so far it seems to be paying off for him. the only old stiff prince did that nite was part of the acoustic set... very short... he opens with Musicology and goes in to Dear Mr Man.. he come back for nice acoustic set just snippets of Cream, l could never take the place of your man, Chaka's sweet thing ( which we sang..he didn't) and a verse of Ike and Tina's Proud Mary and closed it off with a piece of some time it snow's in april and the grand finale was Life of of the part with soul man and kiss | |
