A Million Days is Diamonds & Pearls-Reloaded. It's pure radio-friendly Prince. Easy on the ears, not that groundbreaking, not too deep, which is exactly why it has a chance on the the Top 40.

That's exactly what I hear. Also, like somebody else said, it feels like he's holding something back on this track.

If this song was part of Jewel Box back in the day, people would screaming about how it should have been released.

the last few seconds sound so much like something from the great "gold" era
it the guitar and synth sounds that do it

That's exactly what I hear. Also, like somebody else said, it feels like he's holding something back on this track. Why do I hear more of a Little Red Corvette kind of vibe? and Cinnamon Girl sounds U2ish/ Revolutionish with Wendy like vocals, 80's quirkyness and a neat guitar solo.

Nice to see that a lot of folks are lovin' "A Million Days". I think Prince should release it after "Call My Name". What do you think? RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I love this song. It would be a great choice for a 3rd single. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

No, it should be released before Call My Name. This one would catch fire sooner than CMN, as AMD is more of spring/summer cruising cut than a slow jam! Just my opinion.

:O LoL I have been carefully monitoring this thread... Cuz like JZWINK said; it's like 3 Chains O' Gold. It has that recycled un-inspired guitar sound I find so easy for an inspired fella as Prince. The best thing on the album is of course Dear Mr Man. Lyrically. And music-wise it might not be trend setting, but it gets ya hummin.

I think "A Million Days" is very radio friendly, and should get some decent airplay if and when it gets released. Let's hope it does. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

The song is pretty good, but he fucked up the end. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "
