That is the best booklet I have ever seen for a Prince album...yall fools trippin over credits and shit in here..and then i look and see this beautiful book of pictures and elegance...

I think the book looks great. The packaging is really clumsy though. The flap doesnt lay flat, and the book is loose inside the digipak. Aside from a few details the book looks great.

You damn right paisleypark4. People on this site seem to trip over the smallest of things.

It's about the music stupid!!!
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I don't mean any offense to anybody, but personally I could for the most part care less about PICTURES in a CD booklet. Everyone's always going on about the pictures inside...how many times do you actually look at those?

I would much rather have interesting/informative/detailed (hell, pick one of those!) liner notes, including musicians featured on each track....and you know, some artists (Belle & Sebastian, for example, or Moby) write incredibly interesting essays in their booklets...or have someone else write an essay.

I'd also like the lyrics to be complete and accurate, and with ANY kind of printed material, I expect it to be proofread. PERIOD. I proofread my damn org posts better than the NPG proofreads the liner notes for an album that could potentially be seen by millions of people.

Pictures? That shit's for kids, yo. wink

I don't know. I'm not too crazy about the whole style of this booklet & cover. I dig the pictures inside (especially the one in the middle with him & the band; reminds me of a cool, jazzy updated version of the way he and his band posed for album photos back in the early 80s), but the whole vine/roots thing just does nothing for me. It looks like cover art for a CD single, not a proper, full album or CD release. Very dull and not eye-catching.

Please don't get any one wrong..... it IS the music that means the most... but I totally agree... You wanna learn the words and they are not correct.. you would like to see who (if any one) helped on certain songs....
and I totally agree.. They should of made alittle "pocket" to slip the booklet in.. Like the 3 Chains of Gold Cd.....
It is kinda annoying how it keeps falling out....
I really don't think any one is TRIPPIN' over these details.. we are just discuss things... and THAT is what this whole web site is SUPPOSE to be about.... but every one gets SO nuts if any one talks about their opinion on things.
You are either a Prince "worshiper" OR a "Prince hater"....
Can't we fall inbetween????? I do.....

I have more to say on the subject later, but let me just suffice it to say now that I am appreciative that we at least have a forum in which we can have such critical discussions (however petty to some), without the thread being yanked immediately after the first comment.

Just sayin'. wink

I still haven't checked it out thoroughly. But keep it in context: at the Org fans even whine about there being "no silence" at the end of "Reflection."

my suggestion for sending in your booklets with correction marks still stands, if folks think it's that bad. i haven't seen the booklet at all but i still find this shit kinna ridiculous, y'know.

it don't hinder folks from the music, does it? then a few princebonics or whatever else people are bitchin about shouldn't matter.

It wasn't exactly a complaint...someone mentioned it wasn't on there anymore and someone else stated that they had grown used to it and even enjoyed it. Now, they prefer to listen to the promo, with the silence at the end. What's the big deal?

How can someone with that kind of attitude want to be a moderator?

Easier to close? That would imply that it's actually possible to close the flap. Am I missing something, or have you found some creative way to make it close?

Funny, I suggested this very thing in the chat yesterday...get those litlte velcro circles to hold the flap closed. I saw it done with another CD or on a DVD or something like that not too long ago. Works like a charm smile

I mean come on..this is the best book on any cd he's ever had. Im not no "worshipper" or anyting like that..but this is way better than all the cd books of all other cd's mistakes or not. I mean how horrible was it to look at the Sign O The Times lyrics and that damn script on the Lovesexy album? the 1999 book was incomplete and had only what..one picture? as can be said for the rest of them up to Grafitti Bridge.

Shoot, if we already got the promo cd (and i have it 2 times) i BETTER get my bang for my buck and see some pictures of the band and him..drawings or something. So i guess it will be worth my $10 i will spend to get the album.

Ya get me now?
