I remember Tina Turner doing an ad for Target (?) singing some Prince song...
Baby, I'm A Star (?)

Prince was all over print ads last year for Chevy's Little Red Corvette anniversary.
Actually, it was just some lyrics to LRC....still cool.

Prince wrote "Uh Huh", gave it to Ray Charles, who in turn used it in the famous
Pepsi commercials.

Prince reportedly wrote a Coca-Cola jingle...(Always Coca-Cola?)
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I don't think Prince has officially been in any commercials. But "Baby I'm a Star" was sung by Tina Turner for Target. And FOX Japan is using a techno-esque cover of "I Would Die 4 U" on its new show promo spots.

falloff Prince sued, claiming the pasta company was cashing in on his fame...lol, this
company had been around WAY BEFORE Prince was conceived. Oh silly man.

I only remember PRINCE actually being in that chevy commercial singing LRC. It was around for awhile but on channels like CNBC, not much on mainstream tv.

Does anyone remeber(1985) the Fruity Pebbles commercial with Barney Rubble imitating Prince on the motocycle?

I remember seeing this too . . . it was the SOTT-movie clip of LRC . . . they also played a couple other Chevy-related songs (like American Pie) . . .

There were Emancipation commercials that ran in 1996, right around Christmas time.

Prince never sued anyone over this. His management team, at the time, asked the noodle company to stop making their commercial look like an advertisement for a Prince concert. They may have threatened to sue, I don't know.

Prince didn't know anything about it until after the fact and thought the commercial was funny.

Oops.... I went off topic. Prince has never been in a commercial, ever. His music may have been used whether directly from one of his recordings or a cover by someone else, but I'm sure the owner of those masters were behind all of that.

Prince's image may have been used in commercials, like the trailers to his movies, or the "Best Of Prince" CD, but he himself has never been seen pitching anything. The trailer for Purple Rain, never showed him saying: "hey, come see me in Purple Rain."
