The three best B-sides in my opinion ever:

2. Another Lonely Christmas -extended version
3. She's Always In My Hair-Extended version.
I will do today what you won't, so tomorrow I can do what you can't.

It's sad that Prince's old B sides are better then his album tracks of late.

AMEN!!! I put all my remixes/b-sides on CDs back-to-back and I can groove to them for days.
But the new stuff, I can only tolerate a few songs at a time. What a shame!!!

Far as I'm concerned, you don't even have to point out the "extended version" thing. To me, those are the real deal! The ones on 45 were just edits, IMHO!!!

Right, but naming a b-side that was an album track as the best Prince b-side is not fair. We gotta talk about songs that were ONLY available as b-sides.

For Prince, releasing an album track as a b-side is just flat out cheating. And a bit lazy. wink

Whenever I've made compilations of the classic 80s B-Sides, I've found that two other non-album tracks work great:

Love Song - From Madonna's 'Like A Prayer' album;
Good Love - From the 'Bright Lights, Big City' soundtrack album.

I mean - they're not B-Sides, but they're definitely non-album.

You're right - they're both brilliant and both non-b-sides. I love Good Love more than anything...

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
