When I first heard it, I was kinda like "THIS is the song off this album that ppl keep raving about?", but then it grew on me more and more.
Now I love it. ICPC is still the greatest song here though. [This message was edited Mon Apr 12 15:48:36 2004 by PurpleKnight] The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Definitely was a grower for me. The production is a little cluttered, so that it doesn't have much forward momentum. Its charm is definitely in the singing, and once I coud wrap my head around that (fortunately short) rock-opera tangent it takes, I began to really enjoy the song's melody (and moodiness)

Easily one of the best tracks on Musicology. Definite radio potential if edited right . . .
Reminds me of the vibe I got when I heard "Play" for the first time -- a fast-moving song, lyrically simple but not stupid, a playful energy in the singing . . .

John Blackwell is obviously the drummer on A Million Days. Kirk J did the drum programming on Holy River. Totally different sound. One is live drums (Million Days), one isn't (Holy River). I think you're just confusing them because of the harpsichord prevalent on both. . [This message was edited Wed Apr 14 2:15:51 2004 by mrdespues]

IMO the first great song on MUSICOLOGY. It does remind me alot of 'Dolphin' but I love that song too! Every minute of last night is on my face today....

I love this song. His vocal phrasing during the second verse coupled with the drums and guitar riff are exquisite. I would love to hear this live, great passionate lyrics.

Definitely my favorite from the CD. It comes off as sounding similar to the stuff from 94-95, which is my favorite period for Prince music. If I want your opinion, I'll beat it outta ya!

Yes, I think it would be a great choice for a single. It's a straight ahead pop song with cross-over potential. I would say the same about Cinnamon Girl.

I love it, but "Life O the Party" kills its momentum somewhat. It's a great song, but just the starting of "Life O the Party" makes me forget that sometimes.
My personal favorite is "The Marrying Kind."

I feel the same way about it as the first time I heard it. It's cool - not great, not bad, just good

I love how A Million Days comes after ICPC...like a soft moody breeze after a hard funk storm.
