THe title track should be the first single followed by Cinammon Girl

For what it is worth I think the order should be as follows
1) Musicology 2) Cinnamon girl - very catchy, accessible for top 40 and relevant given the Iraq situ. A powerful video would enhance its popularity. I can't stop smiling and bobbing when the chorus hits on this one. 3) Call My Name - R&B charts. Spectacular song. 4) Life of the Party: Crossover. Light, but again a great summer head bopping tune. Prince's voice sounds great here. Fun video prospects 5) Million Days. Top 40. A real grower. Did not get understand the hype on this one at first but as with all of P's stuff it takes several listens 6) ICPC - Phenomenol funk, but challenging. Needs a great video to bring the funk alive. Some great dancers a la Musicology would punctuate its brilliance

As nice as that sounds, the only that would accomplish would be to get dozens of different recommendations about what the next single should be. Heck in this thread alone there is very little agreement about whether Musicology was a good choice. [This message was edited Tue Apr 13 12:52:35 2004 by Universaluv]

Hm, well I would've gone with these singles in order to promote the album.
ICPC-Sounds totally unique and has a hell of a hook in the chorus. Catchy and fun. A Million Days-Melodic, sombre rock songs usually do well. Call My Name-Could be a great R&B hit. BTW If he picks Life 'O' the Party as the next single I'm gonna kill someone. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I'll bet you a $1000 that Call My Name is the next single. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

CO-SIGN!!!! although I wouldn't want it to be the next single. The radio audience of today isn't ready for something like that. Give it 10 years. All the gals say hoe if your man's giving up the gold. All the fellas say ruff if you're only giving up the bone.

Quite the opposite actually. I don't know anyone who likes that type of shit. When you don't have any friends, it's hard to know anyone at all!!!

You make it sound like it's the audience's fault for not liking it. People don't like it cuz it's a weak track. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "
