Musicology enhanced CD...'extremely limited'

Got this from 101cd.com today (an email mailout)...apologies if this has been up already...but it reveals there is a limited edition digi-pack for the UK release (and I assume other markets) which will include the Musicology vid....

"Brand new album from the purple one, and a return to the form we all love him best for - after the experimental oddity that was his last album 'N.E.W.S.', 'Musicology' is Prince back doing what he does best, writing great songs. Led by the single of the same name, the content of the album harks back to some of his best work while the sound remains fresh and contemporary - his fans will love this whether they've followed his recent work or not, and it's great to see one of the most legendary names in pop back and back with a (diminutive purple) vengeance.... the earliest orders will receive the limited digipack version that also includes the video for 'Musicology', but stocks of this will be extremely limited so don't delay! RECOMMENDED."

That is interesting - I pre-ordered mine from Play.com a couple of days ago, but they have no info, only the tracklist. Other reports online say that ALL the retail versions will be an enhanced CD with a video clip. I wonder if it's a misunderstanding by 101cd.com or just a ploy to get pre-orders.

prince seems to have a habit of 'limited editions' which seem to run into the millions...remember the batman CD in a tin...again, years later, virgin and hmv had them for sale....

Well, in DK there are three different CD types scheduled from Columbia. One is an enhanced CD (Just better sound quality), and then two other catalogue numbers, which I guess are just jewelbox and one similar to the Rave packaging (don't remember what it's called)

i doubt very much 'enhanced' means the sound quality will be any better...just means you get the video on the same disk....

"Enhanced" means the CD will have extra features (possibly a video or weblink). It has nothing to do with sound quality.
