I JUST HEARD MUSICOLOGY ON THE RADIO LAST NIGHT

SO ON THE DRIVE HOME I PUT ON THE WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW ON 107.5 WBLS. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME "MUSICOLOGY" WAS PLAYED ON THE RADIO HERE IN NYC.

THIS GUY "BABY PAUL" FROM SONY WAS IN THE STUDIO AND GAVE WENDY A CHANCE TO PLAY THE NEW SONG.

IT WAS OKAY. SHE DIDN'T CARE FOR IT MUCH. I AGREE WITH HER WHEN SHE SAID "IT'S NOT SOMETHING I'D WANNA HEAR WHEN I'M DRIVING OR IN THE CLUB. SHE SAID IT'S MORE LIKE MUSIC YOU PLAY AT A FUNCTION WHERE THERE'S NO DANCING JUST PLEASANT BACKGROUND MUSIC."

I THINK SHE PRETTY MUCH NAILED IT.

I REMEMBER WHAT THE IMPACT HIS LEAD SINGLES USED TO HAVE ON ME. I CAN PRETTY MUCH REMEMBER WHERE AND WHEN I FIRST HEARD A NEW PRINCE RELEASE. THIS DIDN'T HAVE THAT FEELING.

SO WENDY ASKED HIM IF IT WAS POSSIBLE TO GET PRINCE IN THE STUDIO FOR A SIT DOWN AND HE SAID YEAH. BUT SHE SAID HE HAD TO BRING THE WIFE. THE GUY WAS PROBABLY TALKING OUT HIS ASS, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW.

ANYONE ELSE LISTEN TO WENDY?

Something about her really bugs me. She has a strange sour edge.

Me and my shorty heard it, too here in Chicago. I was suprised that my nine year old liked it and I called the radio station so she could give them her feedback. It was so cute.

I had an accident last April 1st on my way to that radio station to pick up concert tickets I won. No "can we help you", no "can we give you a ride home", nothing. So them not giving her a prize does not suprise me. lol

Whenever I'm up there and hear the Wendy Williams show, I too want to reach through the radio and pimp slap the woman. But for the most part, I agree with her assessment of this track.

Don't let what people say get to you. I have always said Graffiti Bridge is my favorite Prince album and it's not gonna change because a lot of Orgers don't like it.
