What was the absolute funniest thing you saw Prince say or do in a concert? In the middle of a '93 ACT I Tour show at the Fox theatre in Detroit he climbed onto this giant statue of a woman next to the stage. He pretended to grope the statue and then used it as a throne to pose on. Twisted stuff, but it sure was funny. That's what I remember happening anyways. I could have been hallucinating. Did anybody else witness that? Ha Ha!
I haven't been to many shows and I don't have many live recordings so it would be great to find out what other people have witnessed!

When I saw Prince for the first time in Indy on the Purple Rain tour (4/1/85), he ended the show after a couple of songs, said "goodnight" and the band walked offstage and the houselights came up.
After about five minutes of audience mayhem, the lights went back down, they walked back out and Prince said "April Fools" into the mic before launching into "Temptation" from the yet-to-be-released "Around the World in a Day". Dunno if I'd call this "funny" per se, but to be fooled into thinking Prince had pulled a Sly Stone star trip, only to be rewarded with a new song (not to mention the rest of the concert), it kinda blew my 13-year-old little mind.

That's what I'm talkin' about! The electricity in that place must have been crazy after he pulled a stunt like that. He certainly likes to push the audience's buttons. Great story! Thanks.
